Today, iHop Restaurants all over are joining forces
with the No Kid Hungry foundation to provide meals to children around the country. For $1, you can get a short stack of buttermilk pancakes of which half that sale will be donated to helping feed kids in America.
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Working with our community partners on the ground, we’ve built the foundation necessary to create lasting, transformational change. We put every dollar donated to work towards ending childhood hunger by creating efficient, practical, long-term solutions. In communities across the country, positive results prove our strategy is working.
Our $1 = 10 meal equivalency is a strong representation of our work across the country and is derived from a specific example of our work in Maryland. No Kid Hungry and our partners in the state of Maryland implemented an aggressive summer meals expansion, opening new meal programs in underserved areas and helping low-income families find free summer programs for their children. As a result, the state saw a dramatic increase in the number of meals served to kids; 212,000 more meals were served over just one summer – meaning the return on investment was 10 meals for every $1 invested.
